About Katie

Hi, I’m Katie — the artist behind Pretty Grandmillennial.
I’m a stay-at-home mom of four, creating during nap times and late nights. I design whimsical, feminine patterns, illustrations, graphics, and embroidery designs inspired by florals, timeless charm, and everyday beauty. I’m truly so glad you’re here.
I’m a mother to four children (baby E isn’t pictured yet — we haven’t had family photos with her just yet!), and creating beautiful artwork for you is something I genuinely love.
Every design you see is created from my original artwork. I work with a variety of art supplies, but my favorites are watercolors and my iPad — blending traditional techniques with digital artistry to bring each piece to life.
If you ever need help with a file, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I truly enjoy helping whenever I can. I do want to share openly that I’m the artist behind the designs — I don’t personally embroider and haven’t used an embroidery machine myself. While I may not be able to advise on machine settings, thread choices, or technical embroidery details, I’m always happy to try to help troubleshoot alongside you.
I live just outside Vancouver, BC, Canada. I was born and raised in Washington State and met my husband in Canada, where we now live. Life here is wonderfully busy, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful — I truly love where we live.
Thank you so much for taking a moment to read a little about me. Please feel free to reach out anytime.
Warmly,
Katie
